SQUADSVERSE

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 July 2026

This policy explains what SquadsVerse collects, why, and what control you have over it. It covers the SquadsVerse mobile app and the website at squadsverse.com (together, the “Service”).

The Service is operated by SquadsVerse (“we”, “us”). If you disagree with this policy, please stop using the Service.

1. Information you give us

Account details

To create an account we require your name, email address, date of birth, gender, country and city. You may optionally add a username, phone number, profile photo, cover photo and links to your social accounts. Your password is stored only as a cryptographic hash — we cannot read it.

Content you create

Challenges, events, teams, tournaments, results, messages sent with an invitation, venue listings, and any photos or videos you upload. Content you publish is visible to other players; a venue listing is public.

Location you choose

For an in-person challenge, event or venue you may set a place on a map. We store the coordinates, address and the country they fall in. For route-based activities such as a hike or ride, we store the route you draw or record. If you grant location permission we use your device position to centre the map — we do not track your position in the background.

2. Information collected automatically

DataWhy
Push subscription ID To deliver notifications about challenges, friend requests and team activity. Generated by OneSignal; it identifies a device installation, not you personally.
Last active time To show whether a player is currently around, and to keep the community list useful.
Server logs IP address, request time and error details, kept for security and debugging.
Purchase records Amount, currency, store and the store’s transaction reference, so a purchase can be verified and honoured.

What we do not do. We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not use advertising networks, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. Any promotions you see in the app are our own. We never receive your card or bank details — see “Payments” below.

3. Payments

Paid features are purchased through Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Your payment details are entered with Apple or Google and never reach us. We receive only a confirmation that a purchase completed, together with its transaction reference, which we verify directly with the store before unlocking what you bought.

4. Biometric sign-in

If you turn on Face ID or fingerprint sign-in, your fingerprint or face data never leaves your device and is never available to us — the device’s operating system performs the check. All that is stored, in the device’s secure hardware store (Android Keystore or iOS Keychain), is a sign-in key for your account. Turning the feature off in Profile → Security deletes that key and revokes it on our servers.

5. Who we share with

We share only what a provider needs to perform its function:

ProviderPurposeWhat it receives
OneSignal Push notifications The device push subscription and the notification text
Apple, Google In-app purchases Handled entirely by them; we only verify the receipt
OpenStreetMap Map tiles, and identifying the country a chosen place is in The coordinates being looked up
Cloudflare Serving the site securely Connection metadata such as your IP address

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of players and the integrity of the Service.

6. Moderation

Profile photos, cover photos and venue media are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. We may remove content, or suspend an account, where content breaks our rules or the law.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. Purchase records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require, even after an account is closed. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

8. Your rights, and deleting your account

You can view and change most of your information at any time in Profile, including removing your profile and cover photos. You may also ask us to:

You can delete your account yourself in the app, under Profile → Delete account. If you can no longer sign in, email support@squadsverse.com from the address on your account with the subject “Delete my account”, and we will action it, normally within 30 days. Either way your profile, photos and personal details are erased. Purchase records are retained where accounting law requires, and content others took part in remains so their history stays intact, shown only as “Deleted account”. Deleting your account does not refund purchases — refunds are handled by Apple or Google. Full details of what is deleted.

Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, or to complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at support@squadsverse.com and we will remove it.

10. Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, and sensitive credentials we hold are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

11. Where your information is held

Our servers are in the European Union. The providers listed above may process data in other countries, including the United States, under the safeguards their own terms provide.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app.
